President Buhari is Working from Officail Residence – Lai Mohammed
President Muhammadu Buhari will henceforth work from his official residence at the State House, the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed has said.
According to TheCable, Mohammed made this known to journalists at the end of Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting in which Buhari was absent.
“We just concluded the federal executive council meeting, I’m sure you noticed that the president was not there. He was not there because he asked that he be allowed to rest and asked the VP to preside. And he will be working from home. He has asked all his files to be taken to him in the house. He will be working from home today,” Mohammed said.
This is the second time the president is missing the FEC meeting since his return from UK for medical treatment.
Penultimate Wednesday, he was absent from the meeting and the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed said he was “not ill,” as being speculated, adding that he was absent because he had to attend to other official matters.
Last week Wednesday, the meeting did not hold, and the presidency said it was as a result of the Easter Holiday and Cabinet members received their briefs late.
